Being Saved is as Simple as ABC
A) Admit you are a sinner; to sin is to transgress, to break God’s law. Any wrong, no matter how small, sin is sin. To admit is not to make some casual affirmation, such as yes, I’ve sinned. I am not bad, but I’ve done a few bad things. No, by admit, the Bible means to be sorry for your sins, with a willingness to turn from sin. This is called repentance. (Romans 3:23)
B) Believe that Jesus is the only way to be saved. To believe on Jesus is not to make an intellectual judgement that He really exists, nor is it simply affirming His goodness. To believe is to rely on Him and to turn from self-sufficiency. (Romans 5:8)
C) Confess that Jesus is Lord and invite Him into your life. Confess does not simply mean to admit, but to take Jesus as your Lord and King, the boss of your life, because He is sovereign Lord over all. (Romans 10:9)
